Ride with the Experts at the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo
Arena gates will be open to participants in the saddle at the Denver Rocky Mountain Horse Expo, March 12 to 14.
Clinicians participating in the "Ride with the Experts" program are:
Gerrie and Jeff Barnes; Ryan Gingerich; Tammy Pate; Debbie Bibb; Star Hughes; Richard Shrake; Cody Crow; Bob Olson; and Moses Woodson.
Details about the clinicians and their programs are posted at www.RockyMountainHorseExpo.com. Ride and have fun on your horse indoors this March, as you refine your skills with lessons from top-ranked horsemen and women.
There are two rate options for participants:
Option 1: $40/per session, plus stalling at $40/day (stall required for all horses on premises, regardless of length of stay). Includes 2 single-day admission tickets (for day of ride or rides); trucks with trailers park at no charge in Lot C.
Option 2: Participant package: $200 for 3 rides total, plus 1 stall for the entire Expo. Includes 2 three-day passes and 1 parking pass (trailer can be dropped at Lot C).
If you would like to "Ride with the Experts," just take the following steps:
1. Fill out a contract available at www.RockyMountainHorseExpo.com or 303-292-4981. List your three clinician preferences, and the RMHE will forward your information to the clinician(s) in order of preference, for them to determine whether it's a match between their program and your skills and goals. If your first choice doesn't work out, then the RMHE will contact your second, etc. Full payment is expected at the time of submitting the contract.
2. Furnish proof of liability insurance. If you don't have this coverage from another source, it's included in your Colorado Horse Council individual/family membership or available for purchase from us. Not a member yet? Time to join: go to www.ColoradoHorseCouncil.com for an application.
3. Contracts and insurance must be submitted no later than March 1.
4. Note and follow all the requirements for health papers detailed on the contract; papers will be checked at the gate before your horse is admitted onto the National Western grounds.
5. If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must sign the application along with you.
6. All riders (and parent/guardian if appropriate) must sign RMHE liability releases before riding.
